I think what one would have to consider when comparing Wii U launch titles to PS3/360 is that by the time the Nintendo rolled out development kits people were already savvy in most current/ emerging next gen techniques, complex lighting and normal/ bump maps etc so it kind of debunks the Wii U/ PS360 launch game visual comparison.
X is a decent comparison as it's a next gen game featuring some bleeding edge techniques and it was a very impressive demo, however I feel like the closed sandbox environment used in the demo which although beautiful was devoid of much life which I believe is a big tell to the actual power under the hood.
I imagine 90% of you know all this anyway I just wanted to add my 2 cents, hope that's ok!
