I get what your saying, it seems to me as well Sony IPs are a little shallow when comes to gameplay and story, exceptions being Uncharted and some others. They are marketed to people based on things like visuals and "boobs". Also ,I think people buy Sony consoles for other reasons besides the games they made, for examples PS1 had a CD player, PS2 had a DVD player, and PS3 has a Blu-Ray player, and PS4 will have something people want, hopefully as I'm not sure what feature will have the mass market appeal like the other things I mentioned on the other Sony consoles. I bought my PS3 for the games weren't on the Wii, and not really any other reason besides the fact I live in Korea and I need to have NA games, so a region free system is a good thing.
I kind of wish people would just enjoy good games and good where they are, no matter what system the game is on.
