Honestly, I read VCKing's post and not the rest of the thread. I think people assumed I was attacking them. I wasn't really pointing fingers at anyone - so calm down.
But yeah, there are lots of people who will try to spin anything Sony related into something bad. My issue with people claiming themselves as "analytical / objective" on these forums is that many are hiding behind that mask kind of like Fox News pretends they are fair and balanced. All of the sudden when their favorite company is being analyzed and it's not all positive, they get super defensive. All I'm saying is if you are going to be the analytical and objective guy, you need to be able to do it to all three companies without letting your bias interfere or don't claim that position.
As for this piece of news, I'm not saying it's all rainbows with Sony. I've been saying that they need to get rid of their TV division for a while. It's not really worth keeping at this point. As for the game division, I've questioned whether they should be in the portable business. Sometimes, I think they should just focus on the home console market and would be much better off. I think the Vita will wake up in Japan much like the PSP did once the device is small enough and the price is right, but probably not much elsewhere.
"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY." --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
