More I read about it the more amazing it sounds, especially if you can really replace a cable box with the console. Then if they release the new console with a contract where you pay $200 and then $15 a month for a group of XBLG subscriptions and other stuff similar to what they did with the 360 contract deal, then most people who have cable service would essentially be paying $200 for a next gen console. Because that $15 a month you pay as part of the contract can just replace the money you give the cable company every month.

And then after that 2 year deal is up (assuming it's 2 years like the 360 offer) that money you save every month can then start eating into the money you paid for the console. Within 3-4 years after launch, it can actually be making you money. At $200 a pop with that quick of a return on the investment, it could be worth it to snag 2-3 of the consoles to replace your cable boxes.

edit, lol @ almost 40 of the votes going to games and only games. I hope none of those people have PS3's or want a PS4.
