True, but there's also a somewhat dark side to it.
The kind of hair that we nowadays expect women to remove is exactly all the hair that distinguishes a child from a grown-up: legs, vagina, armpits. On the other hand, men usually prefer woman with "long" hair, something that is also associated with being juvenile.
And that's not just a coincidence.
