It's a joint venture, much like Thunderbolt inbetween Apple and Intel, or good ol' USB. It doesn't mean that the Nextbox will be using it since I don't think the tech is final yet, but if it is, I'd be surprised and all for it since 7x the bandwidth of DDR3 at lower power consumption is pretty nice to have no matter what device we are talking about.
