There will be no price drop. Sony has only raised the price and they have years of bleeding money to make up. IF the PS4 makes it out this year in any reasonable quantities, it will be be at a considerable markup. They will control demand with higher prices (more profits) and this higher price will attempt to make the PS3 look like a good deal.
PS4 - $449-$559 and available in very limited quantities.
PS3 - $270+ and available everywhere including some good black Friday deals.
