Even though games like FF7 and Chrono Cross are my all time favorite games. I hardly consider the franchises anywhere close to my favorite.
My list is probably the same as the OP (save metroid, blah) with the addition of the Zelda series. However, I'm likely going to add Persona to my list. I'm currently playing Persona 4 and it's easily sneaking its way into my heart -competing for the place of my second all time favorite game.
I'm going to play all the Persona games now. I'm confident to say that I think Persona will win as my favorite franchise come Summer.
