There's the cost of the PSU as well... I dunno how many extra case fans you need for a 680, but, from what I've seen, they're pretty cheap($9). Cases practically always seem to be on sale, too, and a wired 360 controller will set you back around $20. $1000 isn't all that much to spend for a quality PC, imo. |
The most cheaper GTX 680 I found in www.newegg.com was $460... the avg is $500.
I think you can make a PC with $800 to show to tie with PS4 but to go over that it needed to spend a a little more... so over $1000 is just a just a way to say.
