Yes, I'm very interested in updated perceptions, as well.
All the gaming shows and conferences interest me. As for every developer/publisher having their own shows, that would be horribly expensive for the gaming press. It would also not be feasible for smaller developers, a lot of whom depend on trade shows to get coverage.
