Argh, DmC shipped 1.85m. Where are you getting numbers from?
Besides, Devil May Cry series had 4 games before DmC, 2 of the 4 "old" dante were horrible games (2nd and 4th). CAPCOM is the one responsible for the declined popularity,NOT Ninja Theory.
HS was a generic sub average game, it only sold what it sold because it probably looked good and PS3 had no gamez.
I realize this isn't a direct response to your question but w/e.

I made a mistake:
"Capcom shipped 1 million units of DmC: Devil May Cry on Xbox 360 and PS3 in January. The company adjusted its sales forecasts for the game to 1.2 million by March 31, down from the 2 million projected back in May 2012."
But yeah, I insist, it's capcom fault, play DMC4 and you will know why.
