This sentence is nonsensical.
Next gen cannot possibly have started. Wii U cannot be next gen now. And by this time next year, the PS4 and whatever MS names their new console won't be next gen, either. The correct term is 'current gen'.
I really don't get why people have so much trouble understanding what "next" means. It's like referring to the current day as "tomorrow" because you still remember the previous day.
