I think blocking used games might scare a lot of 3rd parties. The PSQuattro is a very dev friendly console and I hear a lot of positive news from devs. I expect a lot of indie games and pc games. Creative Assembly, makers of Total War is supporting the PSQuattro for chrisssake! Also Diablo 3 and The Witness!

isnt blocking used games for 3rd parties  to make money as well?  every software company is in the same boat.  think rockstar gtav.  what if instead of 10 million only  1 million bought the game and 9 million got it used.  wheres there profit for them?

What if instead of selling 10 million and nothing used it sells 10 million and 9 million used? 

Then in their eyes, that's "9 million potential sales they did not get"

I don't agree with it either, but you only need to look at the articles coming out from some developers wanting this kind of block for used games.
