1. the HD tv ownership wasn't mass market, however sales of HDtv has made big jumps in sales over the last two christmas seasons.

2. the fact that there even was a Format War. if there was just one format this whole time then it would be alot easier to get customers to jump in and try out a new standard.

all in all the next few months sales will show if they can push into the mass market now that the war is over.

3. DVD hasn't worn out it's welcome yet.

This is not going to stop being a factor just because you all refuse to acknowledge it. HD-DVD was not holding high definition back. 



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
