I believe in them.  Hell look at the difference.  PS launches ahead of Xbox and Gamecube=Sony wins gen by large margin

Thats a highly skin deep way of looking at it, considering PS1 paved the way, and the marketshare reversal of Xbox and PS, with only NA and UK working in their favor.

PS1 showed you didn't need to pave the way.  They entered the market against 2 established titans with everyone questioning whether they could do gaming and had the highest selling game system ever.  This is why I give no credence to the "growing pains" of a first console.  A first console can sell 100m if done right.
