I think you might see other unexpected things coming from Sony - it all depends on how MS is reacting now. And I'll say this about my source; I think he really does favor the PS4, but only because of all the things coming to it. Just look around and read what other devs is saying right now. They're THROWING praise on Sony at the moment, because they-listened-to-the-developers. They gave the devs the console of their dreams. Wouldn't you love that if you were in the same boat? And besides, my source have said that the 720 is a great console, much better than PS360 and Wii U - but the crazy shit Sony is pulling off right now... Even I love PS4 right now; but I'm still undecided what console to get (I just love me some Zelda...)

Sure, Sony might show some things in the future, but what they revealed at their event last week was nothing that would suddenly push Microsoft in panic mode. That's what your source claimed and it's just unbelievable. Especially when he still maintains that the Nextbox is a great console. You've got a contradiction right there and it shouldn't be hard to figure out about which part he lied/exaggerated.

The PS4 is currently in its honeymoon period, so praise from developers is expected. It was the same when the 3DS, PSV and Wii U were unveiled. It was the same for systems in the past. It's for the most part PR with only an ounce of truth. Problems and concerns will begin to surface once we move closer to launch, just like with every other system in the past.

maybe not, but I could see MS entering panic mode later on... It all kind of depends really. Some times you just gotta admit that a company has made some very smart moves, and this is exactly what Sony has done now. I really wish I had more insight into MS and Nintendo, but they elude me, so I can't really give them as much credit for being smart. And we all know how stupid Nintendo was with the launch of Wii U...
