| Play4Fun said: Move was clearly very influenced by Wiimote's success and design. |
and the WiiMote was clearly very influenced by the concept by the Team and Dr, Richard Marks over @ Sony and of course Gyration Inc. who pitched the idea to Nintendo in 2001, while in a year before DR. Marks @ siggraph 2000 showed off the Emerging trend in motion control concept's working on PS2 hardware prototype!
So like i stated its not as clear cut as many seem to think.
Again:
DR. marks in 2000 showed off the working Move concept with a working prototype software with a wand control scheme a wand with a multi- colored ball @ this is
one freaking full year before gyration pitched the idea to Nintendo in 2001!

I think many are confused about innovation and invention:
Nintendo create the WiiMote? no
they licenced it, unlike Nintendo Sony really did invent a method for their Motion control, So if Nintendo Licenced the technology they did not invent it in the first place, so how is it that Sony is going to " imitate"
something they invented?
"Innovation differs from invention in that innovation refers to the use of a better and, as a result, novel idea or method, whereas invention refers more directly to the creation of the idea or method itself."
