Just saw this thread. At least now it's crystal clear which console manufacturer your source favors.

About the only unexpected thing Sony did was increasing the PS4's amount of RAM, everything else Microsoft should have been prepared for. Even if Microsoft now had to make changes to their RAM, that's nowhere near as problematic as Sega's panic decision to put another processor into the Saturn in reaction to the specs of the PS1.

I think you might see other unexpected things coming from Sony - it all depends on how MS is reacting now. And I'll say this about my source; I think he really does favor the PS4, but only because of all the things coming to it. Just look around and read what other devs is saying right now. They're THROWING praise on Sony at the moment, because they-listened-to-the-developers. They gave the devs the console of their dreams. Wouldn't you love that if you were in the same boat? And besides, my source have said that the 720 is a great console, much better than PS360 and Wii U - but the crazy shit Sony is pulling off right now... Even I love PS4 right now; but I'm still undecided what console to get (I just love me some Zelda...)
