For me, it's Final Fantasy IV.
Until that game, most of the game I played were arcade in style, with little to no real story.
Final Fantasy IV changed that by bringing in a really deep narrative, with strong moments of emotional impact.
In fact, the game had it all. Great gameplay, great graphics, great music, great story, great challenge...
When I played this on the SNES, at the age of 11, that's when I finally saw the huge potential that gaming could have, and it's also the moment I got hooked to the franchise.
