My source only said that the 720 will be region locked, but didn't specify in which way - so you might be right!
And as I understood it MS would be in panick mode due to the increased specs in the PS4...

Well, they both have very similar artchitacture this time around, which means that PS4 won't be hard to programme for... Sony fucked up last gen, and it's largely thanks to this Xbox got their big chance - but that's only my opinion though. Kinda how Nintendo fucked up the N64 allowing Sony to be so successful.
