The New Fire Emblem is amazing. Though somewhat different from other SRPGS. Depending how far back your willing to go really will depend though outside that, for there are tons of good SRPG games, mostly PS1/PS2 in english.

 

 

Thanks for the insight. Yeah I don't own many consoles besides Sony, though i've been thinking about getting a WII and/or 3ds. So your thoughts on Fire Emblem are helpful. XCOM EU looks fun, il have to try a demo. Recently I've been trying to get back to playing RPGs and SRPGs, it seems NIS and Atlus seem to be the leaders in RPGs now days, any advice on some good RPGs. The last one I played was FF XIII and I really disliked it. Ni No Kuni? 

Ni No Kuni I just started but i like it so far.  My girlfriend got it for me along with Fire Emblem... and i've been putting more time to FE.

The only thing is, the story IS about a little kid and his journey and such.  So if your adverse to "kiddy stories" and the like, I'm not sure i'd recommend it.  

I really don't have any regular RPG reccomendations for this gen honestly.  It just felt like a sort of RPG deadzone for whatever reason.   Persona Series is great though and can be had on PS2 or PSP in different versions.
