If it is to be crash It most likely be along the lines of Skylander , Activision crowed about the fact that skylanders with it's toys is now a billion dollar franchise and they see it as the way forward for platformers , so after that statement i can't see Crash going in any other direction so Crashlander here we come pun intended.

I was not told anything about Activision by my source...
