Hey guys, I'm bringing some news:

Just Add Water's PS4 project "Likely" also for Vita

In a response to fan question posed on Just Add Water's Facebook page asking whether or not the studio's teased PlayStation 4 project would also come to Vita, the team replied with a "Likely". Just Add Water is the studio behind Gravity Crash on the PlayStation Network, and alongside Oddworld Inhabitants, have re-released, and remade various Oddworld games, including Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, which was released on PlayStation Vita late last year. The studio plans to churn out PSVita versions of Munch's Oddysee, and Abe's Oddysee New N' Tasty! later this year.

Ubisoft Sofia working on a new “undisclosed AAA project”, another potential Assassin’s Creed PS Vita title in the works

Ubisoft Sofia’s working on a new “undisclosed AAA project” according to the resume of several of its employees.

The purported project, has been in development for at least six months at the Bulgaria based division of publishing giant Ubisoft. Best known for their development work on Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation for Sony’s PlayStation Vita, it’s more-than-possible that they’re now hard at work developing a follow up for the handheld platform.

It’d come as no surprise – certainly not after the success of Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation, which last we heard was approaching a benchmark of 600,000 sales. An impressive feat for a handheld that’s underperforming, as of this time.

There’s also – not to forget – the earlier announcement that Ubisoft’s already in the process of developing the next Assassin’s Creed. Possibly meaning Ubisoft Sofia’s developing another title to coincide with it’s the franchises next console-based release, in a similar vein as to last year’s Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation – which both released in October 2012.

The fact that development appears to have started on the unannounced project a mere month or two ahead of the release of Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation also indicates it as being more than a possibility.

Ubisoft is set to hold an event on February 27 in London, whereby it is widely expected that they will announce the next Assassin’s Creed. Perhaps we’ll be treated to two new releases.

Do you want to see another Assassin’s Creed PS Vita release? What do you want to see in the next Assassin’s Creed? A new character? A new setting? Let us know in the comments.

Invizimals: Hidden Challenges Trading Card Game App surpasses 100,000 downloads in 2 weeks

Novarama, Panini and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe have announced that downloads of their PSP, PSVita, iOS, and Android App, Invizimals: Hidden Challenges has surpassed 100,000 downloads in two weeks. The app, originally released in late January, is currently only available in Spain and Portugal. Hidden Challenges ties into a physical trading card game from Panini, who plans on releasing over 470 cards in the first set. The free downloadable app allows users to import their physical Hidden Challenges cards into the virtual world to continue the fight. The app provides collection statistics, online multiplayer, and of course allows users to demo the augmented reality features that made the franchise famous.

Daniel Crespo of Novarama said that while Invizimals is a Sony property, the ability to release mobile apps expands the amount of people who can become aware of the series. He later said that it’s important to distinguish mobile apps from the traditional Invizimals games to ensure that one doesn’t replace the other. The studio saw Invizimals: Hidden Challenges as a fun diversion while the studio took 2012 off from releasing Invizimals games in an attempt to make the next one special. Presumably the next game will be launched alongside the Invizimals television series set to air later this year.
You can download the app by clicking this for Google Playclicking here for iOS,clicking here for PSP, and here for PSVita. The PSP iterations of the series have sold over 650,000 units in that region since launch in 2009.
