I completely disagree there, especially if you mod.

I don't follow pc gaming so I don't know what mods are capable of doing. Personally, the way I view it pc gaming with pc building and modding is a hobby in itself as opposed to console gaming where all that matters is the gaming experience.

Ah, but that's just it, on PC, modding is also part of the gaming experience. Sometimes, it IS the experience.

But his point is that modding isn't gaming.

Day-Z, Counter-Strike, Cry of Fear and other games, born from moderations, might like to have a word with you.

I played CS on the PC and I didn't have to mod anything - I just downloaded an executable, installed and played it. No modding needed.

But you did, it was a half-life mod lol, what year did you start playing PC games? Graphics mod are the same way, you usually just install it these days, better yet, with Steam Workshop and the way Skyrim deals with mods, you are literally just clicking the "add" button and you are done lol.
