i dont like to talk about the past, with that in mind right now psn plus offers way more than xbox live(i have both services),but i dont like the idea of paying subscription for online gaming. On the 3 year warranty thing the truth is that it was bad to everyone cause people from outside the us had to wait like 3 months for the console to come back(I am from Puerto Rico and it happened to me) so we ended buying another one . About the abandoning the hardcore, about that i would say that yeah some how the last days of the xbox 360 look a lot like the first days of the ps3 but i dont consider it abandoning a fan base.
