Sony was close to matching MS in assets at the end of PS2... The ps3 wiped out Sony's bank.. Thus they looked at MS who is making consoles like a PC ..powerful and easy to develop games for.. And they do what? They say..ok LETS DO IT TOO!.. Now MS has tons more cash and assets... Recently Sony sold alot of assets to raise cash..
