Agreed... Sony ditched Cell to make a console most like a PC.. And funny enough alot of Sony fans blasted the Xbox 360 because it was more like a PC then the PS3 ..
Now the PS4 will essentially be using the same Gpu as the Next Xbox.. At least very close in specs & Its even made by the same company! And yet now that Sony abandoned plans to use an updated Cell for PS4.. The Sony fans eat it up.. Next Xbox wont be losing compatability to play 360 games.. But theres now just no way to play PS3 games on the PS4.. I doubt they'll even try it due to keeping launch cost as low as possible for Sony
