I had been hoping for a BC surprise but I understand the difficulties. It's just too expensive to add BC directly into the hardware and software BC can be hard to do, and have to redo, every generation. Obviously streaming is the logical step, but it needs to be done correctly, have low latency, low bandwidth, and needs to be network based and not platform based.
What I mean by not being platform based is that I should not have to re-buy PSN games for the new Gaikai service to play on the PS4. As each game becomes compatible I should be able to play them on my PS4. And moving forward since the games are technically streamed to me the entire library of my digital games would ready for me to play when on the PS5 when that day comes.
