He doesn't have to know the up-to-date numbers, his tone suggested it was a educated guess. But even then, he has no idea how much MS shipped in the same time frame, so his "if not more" comment further implies its just PR.

yeah atleast throw some logic at me dude, its pretty hard to convince me that a CEO doesnt know how his product is performing. its impossible once you think about.
