Nope. Nearly all of Google's services and a very large number of other apps have an offline mode that works excellent. You also still have full use of media and other ish.

The downside really is the lack of specific applications that exist on other full OSs. But they only come into consideration IF you actually use them. For non-Business... its very rare you'd need more than what ChromeOS offers.

Like I said in the 2nd post... I really like ChromeOS and in fact, I've been solely using Chrome on my windows PC for quite a while now to ensure I could live without Windows. With the exception of my few Steam games.. I could.

If you're curious, use Chrome as a browser. Go to its market and search for apps you use. You may be surprised at its depth and usefulness.
