There have been horror stories about how developers had to struggle trying to understand the PS2 and PS3. Figuring out something like the Wiimote on your own is a walk in the park in comparison. |
I read this years ago i can't remenberer where, the point is with reverse engineering, hacking etc. you can access whatever you can, but it's not always legal.
PS3 CPU and especially PS2 was highly customized piece of HW, PS2 was similar to N64 in design it was N64 done properly, but this was certainly not intentional, it was just because architecture was complex, unknown etc
