Two guys. #1 takes out #2s 1st eye. #2 takes out the 1st eye of #1. #1 takes the second eye out of #2.

#2 is therefore totally blind and #1 still has one eye left. #2 is blind and therefore can't seem to find guy #1 as he ran away with 1 eye in tact :)
