Unsurprising. It still troubles me why they don't just release another model, or even just an add-on or something, with a cell processor so you have the *option* of buying a backwards compatible console if you want. I suppose it does drive down perception of the console if people believed that it was that price baseline (which it obviously wouldn't be).
More pressure on them to have a good launch, with a continuous stream of games after launch to keep people busy with. Seeing how both Vita & Wii-U have completely failed on this front recently, it's not looking promising.
Personally, doesn't bother me. I have a PS2, PS3, Gamecube & Wii set up in my room at the minute. I have space for another. But I can see why it would be a turn off for some.
