my question = how can a system have GDDR5 memory as the main RAM memory?

I mean GDDR stands for graphics memory ... not the main memory...and btw: Am I the only one who thinks that way ??? :/

Short story, GDDR is an improved DDR designed for applications needing large ammounts of bandwidth. Of course it has it's downsides but that's basically it... memory is memory after all.

OT - I think #1 is correct, more or less like MS did with the X360 last gen. This and pressure from the developers.
