ha ha, thanks for asking the questions. It's hilarious watching these Sony fans try to justify an addition to the DualShock that is just as gimmicky and the SixAxis rip off. They would have done better to rearrange the analog sticks and move them in a more comfortable position. Instead they added a track pad that has almost no clear benefit to gaming. Moreover, they completely glossed over the trackpad's functionality during the press event. Clearly it's a gimmick if they have nothing to say about it. I can see all those 'hardcore' gamers buying the PS4 because it has a trackpad on the controller.

Its either they are all gimmicks or none of them are. I dont understand why people try to pick and choose what they get to call "gimmicks". Its either everything for everyone or nothing for nobody.

Agreed. People are often so quick to jump on what Nintendo is doing, e.g. gamepad too big, don't want to look down, etc, but when it comes to Sony, the same standard is not applied. The touchscreen on the gamepad has infinitely more functionality over that trackpad, but they will easier call the Gamepad a gimmick and completely ignore the PS4 controller - it's beyond reason really.

I love My Wii U, and the potential it brings to gaming.
