This is bothering me... All of the PS4 "Social" features announced had to do with being by yourself in a room and "socializing" with your friends through the internet. Is that really what socializing has turned in to?

Sony says people who don't want to be connected online are "anti-social":

Sony's idea of playing with your friends involves not actually being with your friends:

Are gamers like me, who still enjoy playing video games in a real social environment (in person), that much of a minority?

What do you want them to say?  "Hey, put down that video-game and go outside"?  Online social connectivity has become absolutely huge.  Are you denying that?

It sounds like you're trying to turn a feature into a strawman argument where options provided by Sony are supposedly some form of mind-control.  If you would rather play that way then go ahead?  Is Sony trying to stop you somehow?  Are you saying they won't let you have a second controller or something?
