What's the matter, dude? You seem upset about something. :p
At any rate, I feel like the touchpad is the least obtrusive looking control add-on we've seen of late. I can also see it having various practical applications, as well, particularly in stuff like menu navigation and so forth, that doesn't bastardize the core gaming experience for no good reason. That it's built around a controller with the same overall shape and layout of the DualShock, and that Sony didn't make it out to be some huge paradigm shift (thank God), gives me some hope.
I just hope we don't see a bunch of gimmicky touch crap tacked on to games like with the Vita. Just let devs do what they want with it--and if they don't want to do anything with it, leave them alone.
