It saddens me to see so many people on a gaming forum blame the game rather than the person. There is nothing about the game that forces you to play it so constantly. There is no physical addiction that could possibly take place since the game has no way of actually affecting your body chemistry, It is an entirely mental addiction which means it is the person not the game causing the addiction.

As to the divorce, well that is a problem with the marriage. I have, more than a few times, seen a MMORPG "cause" a problem in a relationship. Everytime it has happened though the excessive playing was a symptom of a bigger problem. Inevitably the one ditching the other to play games is just not happy in the relationship anymore. The person isn't ditching anyone to play the game specifically, but choosing to have fun rather than hang around the person they are dating because it sucks to be around them.
