I ended up selling my backwards compatible PS3 because I needed money, and got a used PS2 in order to be able to play my collection of PS2 retro games.  Now, I see the PS4 and it looks like they are going to go the streaming method to access PS3 content, rather than emulation or backwards compatibility native.  I was thinking of getting a PS3 again, and keeping the PS2 to be able to play my older stuff.  Not now, with the PS4 on the horizon, if I get that, it means space cluttered up.  I currently don't have any PS3 games at this point, as they were moved with the console.

So, I am curious how, is there any reason to get a PS3 at this point?  Can anyone show why it would be worth getting one, rather than waiting for more info on the PS4, to see how things pan out?
