A little inconsitency? It's a game that can be quickly and cheaply made, it's in the first wave of games using a new peripheral, and is obviously designed to sell, not too please. I'm sure the designers at Namco did not think "Hmmm, what do people really want out of rhythm games?", more like "Hmmm, what untapped facet of rhythm oriented activities can we milk some money out of.".

You seem to be operating under the assumption that, by discrediting this game, I'm discrediting the Wii. Not so at all. I've been a Nintendo fan since I was a kid; I've owned every Nintendo console and handheld.

I think you can agree that, going with precedent, this game will most likely be a poorly made cash-in. If you don't agree, you're either being irrational or naively optimistic.
