I'm not sure what you were expecting, but it was pretty much expected really. Outside of gaming forums and in the "real world" as it were, the reaction has been far from overwhelmingly warm.

I was expecting a much more warming reception :( When the Wii U was announced it was all over the news down in australia. I was jumping around calling my friendo's to turn to the channel. I turned the tv today expecting the same thing to happen for the ps4. It got nothing not even a brief mention.

I guess so, but then again we are quite a way away from the launch yet. PS3 got a brief mention on BBC News, but only on Click, today. However, the Wii U at E3 2011 had a special piece in the main broadcast with analysis from websites, magazines etc.
Perhaps the hype just...isn't there?

Ninjablade wins if the next 5 multiplat on the wii u are inferior to the 360 version.
I win if one of the 5 mulitplats are on par or superior on the Wii U.
