i was underwhelmed. I had to quite because it got really boring. So basically we have a ps3 with cloud integration and better graphics.

Pretty much sums it up. The only interesting thing was the cloud streaming service, but they hardly wanted to talk about it.

I was honestly hoping that Sony was getting desperate enough as a company to do something daring. All they're doing is adding even more PC into the mix.

But hey, looks like that's exactly what third parties want, so... Yay?

What exactly would be daring to you? And what could they possibly do, daringly, that would add more to gaming than what they are already going to do?

The only interesting things happening in gaming right now are changing interfaces and changing distribution. Bolting a trackpad onto the dual shock is the lamest "innovation" in interface since Donkey Kong bongos. Making a full commitment to Move would have been more daring, designing something new would have been fantastic.

For distribution, they tease the cloud, but offer no details whatsoever on what it can do, what it can't do, or what the terms are. They just say that there will be games on it at some point. Nice to know. If they were really going to do something exciting, I think they'd be talking about it more, so I expect this to basically be Playstation OnLive. The are good reasons why OnLive collapsed.
