Because they all have give you options for different games.  Sony has a lot of exclusive titles and a reputation for bringing new ip's that people like.

Bringing new Ips is a given, but the sales of most would suggest otherwise on the "liking" part.

Disagree.  Heavy rain, Infamous, killzone, etc may may not be games that sell as well as halo but any game that can sell above 1-2 million on one console is doing just fine.  They may not be insanely popular but they are popular enough to sell hardware and gain profits.  

...well peopel can do what i just did. I got a PS3 from Craigslist for $100 or $249 new. Now I have access to all the games maad cheap or buy it used (lots of AAA PS titles go down fast these days). Then play the multiplat games with the BEST graphics on PC. Everyone wins.


Not everybody is going to want to wait.  For example most games that I buy are bought at launch which is why i buy consoles at launch usually.  With PS4/NeXbox ill likely buy one at launch and the other later because they will be released too soon to each other though

Anyways I love my PC for games like Far Cry 3, The Witcher 2, Crysis, etc because they are beautiful.  But any kind of multiplayer game I play it on consoles because i prefer controllers over mouse/keyboard.  You can use controllers in multiplayer on PC but you will also get your ass handed to you to the lack of innaccuracy with controllers because there is no aim assist etc.

When it comes down to it it comes to preference rather than which one is better.  That goes to all opinions.
