Games are not budgeted out of the selling price like that. I know it's convenient to think of it in that way, but what happens is:

- Game has allocated budget, say $100m
- Sales for that game are added to the income for that game, or even that department
- If the second is greater than the first, the game is said to have profited

I know that's obvious, but what it means is that they charge whatever they can for the game and hope that game price * copies sold is greater than budget. So a higher digital price allows them to get there faster. There is no extra money "from digital", it just manifests as greater profit.
