No, that number included Silver members, too.  Historically, it has alsways been ~50% of Live members are Gold.  So, at max we are looking t ~20M-25M Gold members.

Now, I know a lot of Xbox fans would love it if Sony started charging for online, as they are the only ones who have to put up with it, but they are going to be disappointed to find that Sony is not charging for online play next gen, either.

You sound so sure of it, and i'm inclined to agree with you. But the truth is we really just don't know :/
