The problem isn't sugar it's self. It is usually consumed in excess amounts. Let me us an example. 1 can of coke has more sugar thatn your daily needs. A woman on average will need around 25g while a guy will need 37g depending on your weight, height etc.
Now this is what is in a 12 oz can of Coke

- Calories- 140
- Total Fat- 0g, 0% of DV
- Sodium- 45mg, 2% of DV
- Total Carbohydrates- 39 g, 13% of DV
- Sugars- 39g
- Protein- 0g
- Caffeine- 34 mg per 12 fl oz
