Requiem blowing up??!?! I wanted the UNSC to take/conquer it! Catherine Halsey losing a arm.....YES! Never liked how Catherine has her way despite the consequences (like the deaths of marines and Officers aboard Infinity just so she can see the Librarian). Sure she works for the greater good of humanity but im glad she got "punished" for her means...I cheered when she got shot lol. Her wanting revenge doesn't bode well for the UNSC. She is crafty and will likely kill a lot of good people in Halo 5. |
Well I can't wait to see how Halsey retaliates against the UNSC. I'm just upset that now they will feel they were right in trying to kill her in the first place. It is gonna suck having to go against her in Halo 5. I do hope she at least gets to kill Commander Palmer though (I don't like her). Hopefully the cheif is able to bring Halsey back on our side because humanity needs her.

It also brings up interesting possibilities for the plot. Catherine may persuade Jul to allign with human rebels for the added support for both Covenant and Insurrection, plus their inherent humanity to activate forerunner tech. Just my own personal prediction. I would like to be able to fight rebels in a Halo campaign for once.

I would actually like to fight against the UNSC. Expose the corruption within their ranks. I feel like there is something going on there. Throughout the campaign and Spartan Ops it seemed like they were trying to hide a lot of things.

I personally love the mystery and secrets of the UNSC. A lot of their actions post Halo 3 are influenced by ONI and they are all about things on a need-to-know basis. It is very intruiging that the UNSC/ONI has some secret planet or construction going on that could tip the balance ever more in their favor that we wont know about until its a surprise
Pretty sure that aint gonna happen in regards to the rebels. The Halo universe has always pegged the UNSC as the main force/authority of humanity. They are corrupted, but no more then any country we live in today with their own agendas and hidden agendas alike. In the end, the UNSC does things to advance itself, expands humanities borders, and strengthen its ability to protect the general population. To play as rebels would undermine the stance that they are terrorists/kill civilians to have their planet soverign of UNSC influence. Even the Halo film FUD was about dealing with inserrectionists/painting them in a negative light until the Covnant came
