It's not retarded to research if videogames had something to do with it. What is retarded though, is how conclusions like this are being made even before anything has been researched!
Also it seems to me like the same people who support guns are always the ones that are making such 'links' between violence and videogames. Anything to keep the attention away from the real problem.
