Yeah... but this time you'd also other services that make money. I'm sure they profit from all the TV aps like netflix/lovefilm etc. and PS+. If Sony managed to get 10 million people subbed to PS+ (doesn't have to only be on PS4) they'd be making £400,000,000 more or less per year directly from it. Not all of that would be profit of course, but you have to imagine they'd still get a large chunk.

That's true, but we also have to take Sony's financial situation into consideration. Basically it boils down to how much money Sony thinks they make with the games. The more sales they expect the more the price could go down.
