Waiting till the last minute to even give a release date and price for your console was a really bad play by Nintendo if you ask me. Ideally, there should be at least a 6month window between release date/price reveal and the actual launch. They would also want to release within the year and BEFORE MS. We know MS is gonna release Q4 sometime(can't be any sooner unless they unveil this month or next). Sony says they will not let MS get a lead on them. That really makes me think August sometime. E3 is June, which is only about 2 months inbetween. Would be bad to wait till then. Even if they release in September, thats the same small time distancing that WiiU had, and is a path that should not be followed.

They are honestly treating this as if it were an E3 level event, with the amount of press and media they are inviting. I think they are going all or nothing on this one. I mostly agree with what you listed except they will most likely speak on Vita some too(Kaz said so himself) and I do think there is still a strong chance the price and Date will be revealed as well.

If not here than Maybe at GDC(May?) where odds are is where MS will initially reveal their console which will be slated for late 2013.

as for Versus specifically. The Agni Philosophy guys coming could still mean Versus Reveal. Versus is in some huge part, made in the Luminous Engine. We have already seen a tech demo of the engine by itself. Usually what SE does around this time is Demo their engine usingtheoretically actual game assets/environments(for PS1 it was FFVI, PS2 The Bouncers?, and PS3 FFVII)......like Versus. They would most likely opt to NOT make a Demo in the vein of FFVII Tech Demo as that garnered them far too much backlash for everyone mistaking it as an actual in development title. Using a real game, that they are really using in the engine would work BEST.

Honestly imho the issue with wiiu reveals were not revealing the price late..it was just horrible presentation two years in a row. You know you messed up when after a conference games are wondering if what you saw was a add-on to wii or not. We won't hear anything about price or release date info for certain at the PS Meeting

I take Vita PSMeeting as an example to consider what to expect with this. THis is obviously on a whole different scale so it will have a lot more to show but I think we will only see a fraction of things to come for the system here. Sony always likes to spread out their reveals across E3/GC/TGS so there will be plenty left for them

Either way we will see in a 1.5 days time :D I really do hope they blow our minds with this ..but I am just going to be cautiously optimistic
